A man named Yun Ye, a Chinese citizen living in Vancouver, British Columbia sold his portfolio of more than 100,000 domains to Marchex. His names were bringing in more than $20 million a year in revenues, and $19 million  a year in profits.  This opened a lot of peoples eyes to the huge profits being made by buying and selling Domains.

Another gentleman recently sold Cellphones.com for $4.2 million.  He paid only $90 for the name in 1996.

Tips:

• Domain names that end in .com are the most valuable.

• Think about names that will be valuable in the future

• Shorter names are usually better

• Don't purchase any names that have trademarks.  (Ex. Walmart, Disney, etc.)

• Buy your Domains immediately.  Domains get snatched up quickly.  If you find one, buy it.

• Spaces and symbols are not allowed in the name.

Step 2 - Park your Domains
